Investment Attraction

With one of the best business environments in the country, New Mexico is poised to attract a significant amount of foreign direct investment, or FDI. FDI is the influx of money into an economy from overseas, usually in the form of equity investment, location of businesses or factories, or joint-ventures with existing New Mexico entities.

The New Mexico Office of International Trade serves as a point-of-contact for these foreign interests, while working with recruitment organizations such as the New Mexico Economic Development Partnership and other local economic development authorities. While traveling, OIT also conducts meetings and presentations, representing the State as a welcome place to do business as well as attract investment.
